A Nigerian apartment block fully lit at dusk while neighbouring buildings sit dark
VEHROX STEADY · POWER AS A SERVICE

Your building. Your power. Our problem.

Zero upfront. We build and own the plant, meter every unit, and sell power to the people inside — 24/7, at a rate you can plan around.

How it works

01
We survey your building free
An engineer measures the real load, the roof, the shading and the meter positions.
02
We build and own the plant
Vehrox funds it. Array, storage, inverters, distribution, protection — all ours.
03
Every unit gets a smart meter
Prepaid, per occupant. Top up by phone. Nobody pays for anybody else.
04
You buy units, light stays on
We operate and maintain the plant for the term. When it trips at 2am, we come.

Who it's for

Landlords
Stop being the light man and stop funding diesel you cannot recover.
Estates
One plant, every flat metered, no committee meeting about the generator.
Hotels & guest houses
Guests who never hear a generator leave different reviews.
Markets & plazas
Shops open earlier and close later, and the levy argument disappears.
Schools
A computer lab that runs the full school day, not the first hour.
Filling stations
Pumps and POS stay up, and you stop burning the product you sell.

For owners

What does it cost me?
Nothing upfront. We fund, build and own the plant. You give us roof or ground space and access.
Does the service-charge fight end?
Yes, because you stop collecting for diesel. Every occupant pays for their own units directly to us.
Do I lose control of my building?
No. The agreement covers the plant and the metering, nothing else. You keep the building and the tenancy relationship.
What does it do to my rent?
Landlords on Steady generally let faster and hold tenants longer. A flat with 24/7 light is a different product.

For tenants

What will I pay per unit?
A fixed rate written into your unit’s agreement, so you can plan. No fuel levy that changes every month.
Will the light actually stay on?
That is the whole service. Storage carries the night, and there is changeover for a bad week of weather.
What if I use very little?
Then you buy very little. Prepaid means you are never billed for somebody else’s freezer.
Who do I call when something trips?
Us, directly, on WhatsApp. Not the landlord, not a caretaker with a torch.

Questions people actually ask

What does it cost me to start?
Nothing. Vehrox pays for the plant — panels, batteries, inverters, meters, installation.
Who owns the panels and batteries?
Vehrox, for the term of the agreement. Maintenance, replacement and insurance sit with us.
How do tenants pay?
A prepaid smart meter on every unit. Occupants buy units by phone, the way they already top up airtime.
What if a tenant moves out?
The meter stays with the unit. The next occupant just buys units — no reconnection fee, no argument over a balance.
Is it cheaper than my generator?
For most buildings, yes, once you count fuel, servicing and the cost of the gen itself. The survey shows your number, not an average.
What happens on a week of rain?
The system is sized with storage and, where needed, grid or generator changeover. You do not go dark.
Who maintains it?
Vehrox. It’s our plant. That’s the point.
How long is the agreement?
Typically five to ten years, set at survey based on the size of the plant.
Can I buy the plant later?
Yes. Buy-out terms are written into the agreement from day one.
What if I already have solar?
We can assess what you have, upgrade it where it makes sense, and take over operation.
