THE PROBLEM
Guest reviews kept mentioning generator noise, and the generator was eight metres from the rear rooms. Diesel was a fixed monthly cost that scaled with occupancy in the wrong direction.
WHAT WE BUILT
25 kWp hybrid with storage sized for full occupancy overnight, generator retired to standby and wired for automatic changeover. Air conditioning load was the design driver, not the lighting.
THE RESULT
Reviews stopped mentioning noise entirely. The generator has run four times in eleven months, all of them tests.
