Twenty-four flats, one generator, and a service charge nobody trusted. The landlord was collecting for diesel, absorbing the shortfall, and fielding calls every time the gen went down. Tenants suspected they were funding each other.

A 48 kWp micro-grid on Vehrox Steady — Vehrox funded, built and owns the plant. A prepaid smart meter on every flat, so each occupant buys their own units. Grid changeover for a bad week of weather.

The service-charge argument ended the month it went live. The landlord stopped collecting for power entirely, and the building now lets faster than the two comparable blocks on the same street.
